Photoshop CS3 gives you the ability to work more productively, edit with unrivalled power, and composite with breakthrough tools.

New features for productivity include:

Editing tools new to CS3 are the Clone Source palette and nondestructive Smart Filters. Other features such as the Brightness/Contrast adjustment and Vanishing Point module were enhanced.

The Black and White adjustment option improves users control over manual grayscale conversions with a dialog box similar to that of Channel Mixer. Compositing is assisted with Photoshop's new Quick Selection and Refine Edge tools and improved image stitching technology.

Important information for beta or prerelease users

If you are a beta or prerelease user, you must first uninstall all CS3 beta and pre-release programs on your machine before installing the shipping versions.

    * Windows XP - uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
    * Windows Vista - in the Programs section of the Control Panel, select Uninstall a Program.
    * Macintosh - the uninstaller is in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. Note: you CANNOT uninstall by dragging CS3 Applications to the trash, you must use the uninstaller.

After uninstalling, proceed with installing the shipping version of Creative Suite 3. If you experience problems with the uninstall or the install, you may need to use the Adobe CS3 Clean Script. The script will clean up the beta and pre-release installations and allow installation of the shipping versions of Creative Suite 3. Please follow all the instructions carefully in the readme file provided when you download the CS3 Clean script.

Update Pack CS3

WARNING : Before running the CS3Clean Script, it is critical that you back up your hard drive including all data, content, software programs, etc. Failure to do so, and failure to follow the instructions included with the script, could result in a loss of the contents of your hard drive.

Adobe CS3Clean Script

The Adobe CS3Clean Script will help resolve installation problems experienced by beta and pre-release users of Adobe Creative Suite software. The script will clean up the any beta and pre-release installations. It will also look for and repair registry permissions and remove obsolete registry entries of older Flash Player versions, to ensure successful and allow installation of the shipping versions of Creative Suite 3.

   1. Back-up all data prior to using the CS3Clean Script. This includes fonts, Version Cue repositories, plugins and any other important files.
   2. Uninstall your beta or pre-release Creative Suite 3 prior to using the CS3Clean Script.
          * On Windows XP, uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
          * On Windows Vista, in the Programs section of the Control Panel, select Uninstall a Program.
          * On Macintosh, the uninstaller is in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
   3. Download the appropriate file from below.
   4. Unpack the download. The download includes the script as well as additional system-specific instructions.
   5. Open and follow the instructions for assistance installing the script.
   6. Once the script has successfully completed, continue with your installation of the shipping version of Creative Suite 3.
